Over the years the fashion arena has seen numerous styles when it comes to designer denim jeans from bell bottoms to flares, skinny jeans to boot cut, standard fit to jeggings. But the look that is in trend for winter 2010 is actually a throw back to all of these styles. The new look for this season is vintage.
Although there are now numerous online vintage stores as well as the odd high street store selling vintage, it is notoriously difficult to find jeans in a style and size that meet your needs. It is therefore a blessing that many designer brands have incorporated vintage styling into their new jeans. Take the quirky brand Duck and Cover for example, this brand is famous for taking conventional garment designs and working their design magic to give it a funky new look. In this case, they have taken some of their styles and reworked them to have a distressed and worn vibe – a modern take on vintage.
One such pair of jeans is the Oxygen Nado Tint Distressed Stonewashed Duck and Cover jeans. As suggested in the name, these jeans are available in a blue stonewash colour which looks pre-worn. To the front of the jeans are areas of fading around the thighs whilst to one leg there is a scuff. Another scuff can be found on the rear which really makes these jeans have a vintage worn but loved feel about them.
To the front of these Duck and Cover jeans are two conventionally styled pockets. However to the rear, one of the pockets features zip fastening which has been made to look cheekily disguised. A branded patch panel can also be found on the rear waistband of these jeans to convey the designer brand whilst a subtle Duck and Cover jeans logo can be found on the rear pocket.
In a regular fit, these mens designer jeans can be worn with a shirt and shoes or boots for a smart evening look or dressed down with pumps and a sweater for a more relaxed look. The Oxygen Nado Tint Distressed Stonewashed Jeans are a great way to worn brand new vintage.
