The Deakins Collection – Oates Style

Craig Nicholas Tate launched a range of designer clothing and footwear items in 1991 following a brainwave whilst studying a fashion degree in London. His passion was to create a range of items that met the needs of the fashion conscious menswear buyer at an affordable price. Ten years later he launched The Deakins footwear collection which has the same brand ethos as the other collections– affordable footwear for the brand conscious menswear buyer.

The brand has filled the gap in the UK fashion arena for high-end fashion at an entry-level price. This has been achieved by the Deakins collection fusing the urban street image with directional, diverse styling and volume construction to keep prices affordable.

One of the most popular styles in the Deakins footwear collection is the Oates style. Now in its second season, the Oates style of shoe carries the same key features as the rest of the brand – sole designs and sole branding which are unique to the designer footwear market.

The Oates shoe has been carefully manufactured to caress the contours of the foot with a high ankle to provide comfort and support whilst walking. This shoe is made from high-quality materials and craftsmanship to create durable footwear.

The high-quality leather of the shoes meets in a stitched peak around the contour of the toes to add extra detailing. The lace up section of the shoe has just two loops to add a unique twist to an otherwise conventional fastening. That little extra bit of styling is exactly what you’d expect to find from designer footwear, giving your look the edge it requires.

As with all styles within the Deakins footwear, the Oates style carries heavy designer branding. On the side panel of the shoes is a large embossed Deakins logo set into the leather to make a dramatic impact. Further branding is displayed on the tongue and heals of each shoe in a contemporary oval design. Branded eyelet detail adds a touch of extra durability to the shoe with extra discreet branding.

The whole Deakins range is renowned for sole designs, the Oates style is no different. This style has subtle modern shapes and the Deakins logo stamped into the tread of the shoe giving them a discreet quirky look without compromising on the functionality of the shoe.
